Hours of Work: Full-time: 37 hours. Day Shift (some flexibility required)

Company Overview: Dawson Downie Lamont designs and manufactures Reciprocating Pumps in accordance with API 674 Hydraulic Institute Standard for oil & gas, petrochemical and marine industries worldwide. With over 100 years of history, it specialises in Direct Acting Steam / Gas Driven Reciprocating Pumps.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will transform ideas, sketches and specifications into detailed technical drawings and plans.
Responsibilities:
- Review existing drawings/documents and prepare technical drawings & queries, transferring and updating data into Pro/Engineer format.
- Understand and have experience with rotating equipment, pumps and similar equipment.
- Good understanding and experience in technical accreditations under API 674 and Hydraulic Institute standards for oil and gas, petrochemical and marine industries.
- Experience in different engineering disciplines to ensure accurate & comprehensive engineering outcomes, status of activities and deliverables.
- Communicate and discuss with colleagues and clients on technical drawing queries.
- Extract BOM from drawing information.
- Assist in planning & execution of customer quotations to support direct sales activities, sales volumes, values, product mix within agreed timescales.
- Generate ideas and create offers for sales and marketing to develop major accounts and new business prospects.
- Respond to and follow up on all internal and client requests.
- Liaise with internal estimation and inter-departmental staff when required.
- Develop long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements.
- Engage with other members of the team to find a technical solution for our clients.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Good experience in AutoCAD and Pro/Engineer.
- Knowledge of all material grades category-wise (plates, pipes, forgings, flanges, fittings, fasteners, gaskets, etc.).
- Ability to understand drawings & prepare BOQ based on that.
- Knowledge of NDT requirements.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications provided by client.
- Software knowledge: AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), PDF editing.
