The job:
We’re looking for a ProgrammeLead to join the team and manage our Bulk Purchase Annuity which is an area we areexpanding into at pace with a number of new clients. You will support us in aligning our clients’ambitions with our own strategic goals and will be reporting into senior leadership andstakeholders.
Here\’s what you\’ll be doing:
As Programme Lead for BPA, you’ll be at the heart of one of the fastest-growing areas of ourbusiness. Working with our clients, who may be new to our IntelliPen platform, you’ll beresponsible for delivering end-to-end programme management for Bulk Purchase Annuityimplementations, onboarding, and transformation projects. You will also lead ongoing changeinitiatives for our established BPA clients.
You’ll ensure every BPA implementation meets the unique demands of each scheme, whilealigning with our broader business and technology strategy. Reporting into senior leadership,you’ll bring clarity, structure, and momentum to complex projects – ensuring outcomes thatdeliver long-term value for clients and us.
You will be working closely with our tech team as well as they continue to build out our datamanagement offering further. This will be product features used across our BPA clients butcontinuing to be linked to our award winning IntelliPen system.Candidates will have experience of UK Pensions and in particular Bulk Purchase Annuity(BPA).
Key skills and experience:
• Demonstrable experience in UK pensions,specifically Bulk Purchase Annuity(BPA)schemes
• A solid understanding of the BPA market,including insurer expectations, scheme
transitions, and operational readiness
• A proven track record of managingcomplex software implementation projects
or pension scheme transitions
• Strong commercial and strategicawareness – you can balance clientneeds with long-term business goals
• Excellent communication, planning, andstakeholder management skills
• Familiarity with pensions administrationplatforms (knowledge of IntelliPen is aplus)
• Complex and highly visible stakeholdermanagement
• Strong contract & commercial awarenessand budget management
• Skilled in successfully executing projectsthrough a diverse range of methodologies
including Agile and waterfall, ensuringefficient and effective fulfilment ofcomplex project requirements.
• Excellent risk management skills ensuringsuccessful programme outcomes in
challenging situations
• Building and maintaining strategicrelationships, managing conflict andmotivating cross-functional teams
• A self-starter, you can take ownership ofmultiple tasks/situations and act on their
own initiative, a natural problem solver
• You know how to get the best out ofpeople, and have a sense of humour
• Strong influencing and leadership skills,able to foster a collaborative work
environment while motivating andproviding clear direction
• Demonstrable knowledge of governanceprocesses, adept at enhancing and
adhering to governance processes toensure end to end visibility and auditability
of project and programme deliveries.
