The job:
We are seeking a Supplier Manager to be responsible for managing the company’s portfolio of suppliers focussing on servicing one of our biggest and most strategic clients, to make sure that goods and services — including software, IT services, and general business supplies — are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with agreed contractual, commercial, and service expectations. The role assures supplier performance, manages risks, drives value for money, and supports the wider business in achieving operational and strategic objectives through effective supplier relationship management.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
- Act as the main point of contact for supplier relationship management across software, IT services, and general business suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to ensure delivery against contracts and service levels.
- Lead regular supplier review meetings to monitor performance, address issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage supplier escalations and resolve disputes in a professional and commercially sensible manner.
- Contract & Commercial Management
- Oversee the full supplier lifecycle — onboarding, contracting, performance monitoring, renewal, and exit.
- Ensure supplier contracts are current, compliant, and commercially sound.
- Work with Legal and Commercial colleagues to negotiate and review terms and conditions, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key skills and experience:
- Proven experience in supplier management, vendor management, or procurement — ideally within a software, IT, or technology-driven organisation.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing supplier performance through SLAs, KPIs, and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of contract management principles and risk assessment.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel, contract databases, and supplier management tools.
