The job: The Senior People Partner is a strategic role responsible for developing, implementing, and enhancing our people strategy ensuring that it aligns with organisational goals and creates a great place to work. This position demands a strong grasp of both technical and business dynamics to identify, address and resolve challenges that could impact the Company’s success. Effective collaboration and communication skills are vital for engaging with employees at all levels and positively influencing organisational outcomes. You will help align and ensure the delivery of the People strategy and projects in line with overall company goals. You will be a trusted partner for your stakeholders, and will quickly develop partnerships across the organisation to deliver value added HR service to management and employees.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Partner with functions to assess and effectively address human resources needs in areas such as attraction, engagement & inclusion, performance management & reward, talent management & development and organisational design.
- Design and implement strategies to create a work environment where employees can thrive, enjoy their roles, and pursue growth opportunities whilst remaining aligned with overall business objectives.
- Design and develop HR initiatives and technical solutions that support employees and achieve organisational goals.
- Coach managers in appropriate people management best practices (i.e. recruiting, performance management, discipline, reward & recognition, and exit strategies).
- Develop relevant, meaningful management information.
- Analyse performance metrics, including employee retention and experience data, to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
- Build and maintain employee culture and morale and act as a change agent for people related initiatives.
Key skills and experience:
- Proven experience in a strategic people partner role.
- Strong employee relations experience.
- Proficiency in HR systems and data analytics tools.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law (and upcoming changes) and best practice.
- Experience of implementing new processes, ways of working, policies in previous roles.
- Effective relationship builder with internal client/stakeholders.
- Previous line management/mentoring experience.
- Strong organisation, planning and project management skills.
- Responsible for leading and managing projects in support of delivering the People strategy; will also have involvement in cross-functional projects in the role of People expert as and when required.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and continuously evolving environment.
