As part of our continuing growth, we are seeking to recruit a Software Engineer (.NET) to join our SysApps (System and Application) Development Department. SysApps is responsible for maintaining and developing Procentia’s flagship platform, IntelliPen, and the systems required to support it. This involves implementing new features, enhancements, and bug fixing issues as and when they arise.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with your team to ensure all work aligns with Procentia’s business objectives and client needs.
- Overseeing the performance of applications, ensuring they’re always at peak performance.
- Identifying and developing improvements to our platform, tools, and processes.
- Assessing requirements, defining a specification and leading the delivery of phases of work.
- Supporting, maintaining and extending existing client platform installations.
- Reviewing changes made by collaborating teams, holding them to high standards.
- Continually learning and growing, supporting others to do the same.
- Taking part and contributing to the friendly, inclusive and fun culture at Procentia.
Key Skills And Experience:
- C# and/or VB.NET
- ASP.NET web framework
- SQL Server database development
- Git (and versioning best practices)
- Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum)
- Unit Testing and testing frameworks (e.g. MSTest)
- Product development experience
- Some knowledge of Project Management Tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
- Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Cloud Architecture Patterns (Event Driven, Microservices, etc.)
- JSON and XML processing
- XSLT
- REST HTTP services/APIs
- Able to mix pragmatism with producing well-tested and robust code
- Has high standards for their codebase; seeks to continuously improve them
- Passion for regularly challenging and improving themselves, learning new technologies and keeping up to date with the latest features
- Excellent problem solving and debugging skills
- Great time management, with a focus on delivery
