The Job
As part of our continuing growth we are seeking to recruit a Software Engineer to join our Engineering Department. As a software engineer at Procentia, you will be maintaining and developing Procentia’s flagship platform, IntelliPen, and the systems required to support it. This involves implementing new features, enhancements, and bug fixing issues as and when they arise.
Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
- Build and maintain software that fulfils specific needs
- Find solutions to security threats, viruses, or errors that might hinder the performance of the application
- Carry out regular security and performance checks
- Stay on track of the application lifecycle to ensure necessary updates are completed on time
- Analyse stakeholder and user requirements
- Document all changes made to applications
- Communicate with clients and other teams/stakeholders
- Collaborate with other developers and departments
- Investigate problems and determine the best solution
- Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
Key Skills And Experience
- Strong experience with:
- C# and/or VB.NET
- ASP.NET web framework
- SQL Server database development
- Git (and versioning best practices)
- Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum)
- Unit testing and testing frameworks (e.g., MSTest)
- Product development experience
- Some knowledge of:
- Project Management Tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.)
- Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Cloud architecture patterns (Event Driven, Microservices, etc.)
- JSON and XML processing
- XSLT
- REST HTTP services/APIs
