Join Our Team as a Band 7 Operational Team Lead! A fantastic opportunity has opened to become a key leader within our community nursing service. In this pivotal position, you will work closely with the Clinical Lead to ensure the delivery of a safe, effective, and person-centred community nursing service. Partnering with the District Nurse, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting a passionate Community Nursing team, ensuring excellence in practice, smooth day-to-day operations, and outstanding outcomes for the people we serve.

Post holders will be available to work Monday to Sunday between 8am and 8pm. A full UK driving license and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however, reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Main duties of the job: In this influential role, you will provide vital support across localities to ensure that safe, high-quality care is consistently delivered within the community. Working in close partnership with the Clinical Lead and District Nurse, you will lead and manage our dedicated community nursing team, overseeing patient care and incidents, championing staff development, upholding professional standards, and actively contributing to clinical governance. Your leadership will be highly visible, offering guidance, support, and motivation to colleagues as you help shape the culture and performance of the service.

This dynamic position blends 40% clinical practice with 60% management, giving you the opportunity to stay hands-on in patient care while driving service improvement and team development.

Job responsibilities: The post holder will ensure that patients, service users, families, and carers have a positive, safe, and high-quality experience when accessing and receiving care, treatment, advice, and support from Procare employees. They will ensure learning is shared and embedded in situations where things did not go as well as they should have. Patients are the most important people in the health service and are at the centre of primary and community health care services.

As patients and carers are the experts in how they feel and what it is like to live with or care for someone with an illness or condition, all Procare employees are guided by real experience of our services to guide quality and service improvements.

Person Specification: Qualifications: Registered Level 1 Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.

Knowledge and Experience: Broad range of clinical skills relevant to community nursing, including but not limited to Compression Bandaging, Dopplers, Venepuncture, Male & Suprapubic Catheter, Syringe drivers, and Palliative care symptom management. Able to demonstrate experience of managing people, undertaking appraisals, investigations, formal and informal reviews, and supporting staff through HR processes. Keeps up to date with evidence-based practice and research related to community nursing and health care in the community.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
