Probus Surgery are looking for salaried GPs to join our team. Salary depending on experience. Our GPs, patients and practice teams benefit from an on-call team of ACPs, ANPs and Nurse Practitioners. This approach improves patient access and hugely streamlines administrative tasks, freeing up GPs to focus on clinical work with the support of our on-call team.

- To deliver high quality clinical care to the patients registered and attending the GP surgery and to work closely with the clinical leads and local practice team to support the delivery of the surgeries operational plan.

Probus is our main surgery, with branch sites at The Merlin Centre and Tregony. Our clinical team consists of GPs, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, HCAs, Pharmacists, Dispensers, Receptionists and Admin. Job responsibilities
- To provide clinical care to patients as described in the job plan and in line with our model. This will include consultation sessions, telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews and prescription signing and other clinical administration, safeguarding, medicals, reports, home visits, surgery meetings and on-call (excluding out of hours).
- You will strive to maintain quality within the practice ensuring participation in clinical governance activity and contribute to the improvement in quality health outcomes through audit and the Quality and Outcomes Framework and contributing to the practice achieving other quality standards to include CQC standards.
- Working with the Senior Manager and site clinical lead to support the development, delivery and review of the surgery action plan including list growth, patient satisfaction levels, QOF, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management.
- To adhere to the highest personal and professional standards as set out by the GMC and to put individual patient care as your priority.
Person Specification
- Current registration with GMC and NHS performers list and engaged in regular clinical work.
- A doctor with GP accreditation - MRCGP examination or equivalent experience.
- Clear commitment to delivering quality and patient focused services.
- Knowledge of QOF, LCS, DES, CQUINs and use of appropriate coding.
- Ideally have a working knowledge of our clinical system, SystmOne.
