An established and award-winning UK housebuilder is seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their South West construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking developer with a long-standing reputation for quality homes and employee development. You’ll be part of a supportive, customer-focused construction team delivering high-quality new build housing developments across the region.

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Director, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations from inception through to completion - ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee all construction activities in line with NHBC standards, Building Regulations and company specifications.
  • Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors to deliver build programmes efficiently.
  • Monitor progress, budgets, and quality, taking corrective action where necessary.
  • Uphold the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks, ensuring defect-free handovers.
  • Work closely with internal departments and the Sales team to ensure smooth customer handovers and a first-class experience.
  • Maintain accurate site records, manage costs, and approve subcontractor payments.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and lead by example in promoting a positive, safe site culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager within the housebuilding or residential construction sector.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate site teams and subcontractors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of NHBC Standards, Building Regulations, and Health.
