The Role
As Technical Project Manager, you will take ownership of multiple high-value manufacturing projects, some valued at over £8 million. Leading the full lifecycle from concept through to commercial launch. You will manage cross-functional teams, liaise with stakeholders across departments and international colleagues in Europe, and ensure all project goals are met from technical, strategic, and regulatory standpoints. This is a pivotal leadership role in a regulated environment, ideal for someone from a medical device, healthcare manufacturing, or high-volume injection moulded product background.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale medical product development and manufacturing projects
- Manage timelines, budgets, deliverables, and risk assessments
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients
- Oversee design reviews, V&V testing, risk management, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Regulatory, Operations, Quality)
- Ensure smooth design transfer and integration into production & supply chain
- Provide status updates to senior leadership and European HQ
- Maintain accurate documentation and project records
- Occasionally travel to support international collaboration and project delivery
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in technical project management
- Strong technical/engineering background (degree in Engineering or Industrial Design)
- Proven ability to manage full product lifecycle in regulated environments
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Skilled in project planning, documentation, and issue resolution
Desirable:
- Experience in Healthcare, medical device manufacturing or regulated industries
- Understanding of injection moulding processes/tooling
- Familiarity with ISO9001 / ISO13485
- Competency in 3D modelling/CAD and engineering documentation
