The Role
We are recruiting a Sub Agent to support the delivery of civil engineering works across major UK airfield frameworks. Working as part of a wider project team, you will manage sections of works with individual work packages valued up to £5m, contributing to the successful delivery of a long-term programme of secured works. This role offers excellent progression opportunities within a business that has a guaranteed pipeline of projects for at least the next five years.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager with the operational delivery of allocated works
- Manage site activities, subcontractors and suppliers
- Prepare and review RAMS, permits to work and quality documentation
- Coordinate resources, plant, materials and equipment
- Monitor progress against programmes and assist with look-ahead planning
- Ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries and handover documentation
- Promote compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental standards
Requirements
- HNC / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- CSCS card (relevant level)
- SMSTS
- Experience working for a civil engineering contractor in a similar role
- Strong understanding of construction methods and quality control
- Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts and weekends when required
- Full UK driving licence
