This is an opportunity to join a leading fit-out and refurbishment contractor with an established Northern operation, a strong project pipeline and a reputation for delivering technically demanding, high-quality commercial environments. As Project Quantity Surveyor, you’ll work closely with experienced operational and commercial teams, taking responsibility for the financial performance of significant fit-out schemes from procurement through to final account. The projects are varied, fast-paced and delivered for major clients, giving you the opportunity to develop your commercial expertise while making a genuine impact on project performance. For an ambitious Project Quantity Surveyor, there is also a clear opportunity to continue progressing within an established commercial team. Responsibilities As Project Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take commercial responsibility for your allocated projects, including: Managing project cost control, forecasting and commercial reporting. Procuring subcontract packages and managing subcontractor accounts. Identifying, pricing and managing variations. Working closely with Project Managers and site teams to protect commercial performance. Managing valuations, payments and cash flow. Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply-chain partners. Driving projects towards successful final account settlement. Ensuring commercial risks and opportunities are identified early and managed effectively. The successful Project Quantity Surveyor will ideally have experience working for a main contractor or specialist fit-out contractor and understand the pace, detail and commercial demands associated with large-scale interior fit-out projects.
