Senior Quantity Surveyor Manchester | Permanent Total package up to £80,000, inclusive of salary and benefits Construction contractor | High-rise experience essential Opportunity High-rise experience is the key requirement for this Senior Quantity Surveyor opportunity. If you understand the commercial demands of tall buildings and want your next move to make use of that knowledge, ProBuild Recruitment would like to speak with you. Our client is looking for an experienced commercial professional with a practical understanding of high-rise construction. Cladding, façades or remediation experience would be particularly valuable, although these are desirable backgrounds rather than essential requirements. The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will bring commercial judgement to the project team, helping manage costs, contractual obligations and subcontractor accounts. The focus is on someone who understands how commercial decisions affect delivery and can work effectively with the people responsible for getting the work built. The precise project allocation, reporting line and working arrangements will be discussed as part of the initial conversation. Responsibilities The anticipated responsibilities for the Senior Quantity Surveyor include: • Managing project costs, budgets and commercial forecasts. • Preparing valuations, applications for payment and commercial reports. • Supporting subcontract procurement, tender comparisons and package negotiation. • Managing subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts. • Identifying commercial risks and maintaining clear supporting records. • Working closely with site teams, clients and the supply chain to resolve commercial issues. About You You will be an established Senior Quantity Surveyor with relevant high-rise project experience and the confidence to discuss your commercial contribution in detail. You should be comfortable explaining the packages you have managed, the challenges involved and how you have protected the commercial position. Experience in cladding, external façades or remediation would strengthen your application. However, candidates with strong high-rise experience should still get in touch even without that specialist background. Clear communication, sound judgement and an organised approach to subcontract management will be important. We are interested in the relevance of your experience and what you can bring to the role. What’s in It for You • A total package budget of up to £80,000, including salary and benefits. • A role where your high-rise experience is a clear priority. • The opportunity to bring additional value through any cladding, façades or remediation knowledge. The salary and benefits split will be confirmed during discussions. Application Process To discuss this Senior Quantity Surveyor position, apply with your CV or contact Elliot Goulding at ProBuild Recruitment for a confidential conversation.
