Site Manager – High-Rise Residential New Build Manchester £55,000–£60,000 per annum Permanent | Expected start: early Q1 2027 The opportunity A leading residential developer is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major high-rise new-build development in Manchester. This is a hands-on operational role focused on coordinating site activity and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard. The role Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will take ownership of allocated work packages and areas of the project. You will coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress and quality and ensure the works remain aligned with programme, drawings and specifications. Key responsibilities Manage day-to-day site activity across allocated areas or work packages. Coordinate subcontractors, labour, materials and site logistics. Monitor progress against short-term programmes and agreed milestones. Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, quality standards and building regulations. Carry out inspections, maintain accurate site records and manage quality documentation. Lead daily briefings and maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping. Identify design, access, sequencing or resource constraints and escalate them promptly. Work closely with construction, technical, commercial and design colleagues. Support commissioning, completion, handover and defect-resolution activities. About you Proven Site Manager experience on high-rise new-build developments is essential. A strong main-contractor or residential-developer background. Experience managing subcontractors and multiple work packages in a live site environment. Good knowledge of construction sequencing, quality control and site documentation. Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills. SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications are expected. The package Salary of £55,000–£60,000 per annum. Permanent position. Manchester-based high-rise development.
