Are you a Project Manager ready to take ownership of a major education development that will have a lasting impact on its community? A leading UK main contractor is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a substantial new-build school development in Cumbria.
As Project Manager, you will oversee the scheme from pre-construction and mobilisation through to completion. The development will be delivered in phases to minimise disruption to pupils and staff, making stakeholder management, programming and logistical planning central to your role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the site team and take ownership of the construction programme.
- Maintain strong working relationships with the client, consultants, school representatives and supply chain.
- Coordinate design, commercial, operational and health and safety activities.
- Ensure the project meets its quality, programme and financial objectives.
- Manage phased works around a live education environment.
- Identify project risks and create a positive, accountable site culture.
You will need proven experience as a Project Manager delivering major new-build projects for a main contractor. Education-sector experience would be advantageous, particularly where projects have involved live environments, complex logistics or phased handovers.
