Drylining Quantity Surveyor Altrincham £50,000–£60,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus – flexibility for the right candidate Specialist Drylining & Interiors Contractor Opportunity Are you an experienced Drylining Quantity Surveyor looking for the autonomy to take ownership of major packages without being micromanaged? A specialist contractor delivering substantial drylining, plastering and internal fit-out packages across major construction schemes is looking to appoint a self-sufficient Drylining Quantity Surveyor to strengthen its commercial team. Based from Altrincham, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially strong Quantity Surveyor who understands specialist subcontracting and is comfortable managing projects from procurement through to final account. As Drylining Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be trusted to manage your own workload, make commercial decisions and play an important role in protecting margins while maintaining strong relationships with clients and the operational team. Responsibilities As Drylining Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for major drylining and plastering packages, including: Managing project costs, valuations and cash flow throughout the contract Preparing and submitting applications for payment Managing variations, change control and contractual correspondence Procuring and commercially managing subcontractors and suppliers Producing accurate cost reports, forecasts and CVRs Working closely with Contracts Managers and site teams to monitor project performance Identifying commercial risks and opportunities Negotiating final accounts and ensuring projects achieve targeted margins The successful Drylining Quantity Surveyor will ideally have previous experience working for a drylining, plastering, ceilings, partitions or specialist interiors contractor. More importantly, you’ll need to be commercially confident, organised and capable of running your own projects with minimal supervision.
