About the role
ProblemShared is seeking an experienced Product candidate to join our growing Product team. We are looking for a motivated individual who wants to work in a high-performance team at a scaling health technology company and have responsibility for driving our business growth from day one. Our digital journeys are right at the heart of what we do and our goal is to offer seamless digital experiences to support exceptional healthcare.
We are looking for someone with prior experience working with digital product development in a web-based journey. You need to have been hands on with Engineering teams as well as working collaboratively across the business to drive strategy and direction. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on our ambitious product and technology goals right from the start, working directly with our engineers as well as with stakeholders around the business, therefore the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the business is essential. Our Product and Engineering teams are growing significantly, so this is a really exciting time to join us.
What we are looking for
- Recent experience working as a Product Owner or equivalent role in a digital environment
- Strong knowledge and experience of Agile delivery methods, ideally working hands on with engineering teams
- Confidence to build relationships across the business and influence diverse stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to explore and understand business needs, then translate them into clear requirements and impactful user stories for the development teams
- Ability to think holistically and consider all aspects of the user experience, as well as balancing the business needs and technical possibilities
- Experience of working remotely and communicating via multiple remote channels
- Any healthcare/healthtech experience would be a bonus, but isn’t essential
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, changeable growing company
You will:
Reporting to the Product Lead, you will be working hands on with our engineering team to refine and implement product features and improvements for all our types of users – clients themselves, our practitioners, our partner groups and our internal teams. You’ll be focused on delivering against Product goals, defined based on the overall vision of the company, but also crucial to defining what the next steps for our Product should be.
You’ll gather needs from across the business and write the user stories for your team to work on. Day to day, you’ll work with our Agile Delivery Lead and engineers, getting to know our digital architecture in full detail to be able to explore and assess potential technical solutions and identify gaps and opportunities. You’ll also work closely with the Product Lead to prioritise the overall backlog, gathering insight from across the business to help inform that prioritisation. As your knowledge of the business grows, we will be looking to give you increased autonomy and ownership of areas of the product.

- Support the Product Lead in prioritising the product backlog to ensure we are delivering value as effectively as possible against business goals
- Develop detailed business and user knowledge to be able to understand problems and requirements in order to create strong user stories and put yourself in the shoes of your stakeholders
- Develop deep knowledge of our systems and architecture to support the engineering team in defining solutions
- Build relationships across the business to uncover and understand problems and define solutions together
- Work closely with Design and other key contributors to ensure work is ready for the engineering team when required
- Be the expert on your features and support the business in using them
