The role:
- As a self-employed Consultant Psychiatrist, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering timely, accurate diagnoses and shaping personalised care plans.
- You'll work autonomously within a supportive, expert multidisciplinary team, bringing your clinical judgment and empathy to every assessment.
What we ask you to do:
- Conduct thorough ADHD assessments for adults and young people, considering co-occurring or differential diagnoses.
- Use your clinical expertise to make diagnostic decisions and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Collaborate in regular clinical supervision, team discussions, and case reviews.
- Maintain clear, professional records and complete timely reports.
- Identify and recommend additional assessments or interventions where needed.
- Contribute to the development of our clinical pathways.
- Share your knowledge by mentoring and training colleagues.
What you will need to be successful:
- Extensive clinical experience in General Adult Mental Health Services, with a broad diagnostic knowledge and additional specialised experience in ND assessments (training and clinical experience).
- Medical degree with a postgraduate qualification (MRCPsych or equivalent).
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry.
- Minimum of two years post-CCT practice in General Adult psychiatry.
- Experience working autonomously within multidisciplinary clinical services.
- Good understanding of clinical governance frameworks and regulatory requirements in mental health services.
- In-depth knowledge of evidence-based assessment and diagnosis of ADHD and ASD and other general adult conditions.
- Ability to adapt to digital remote clinical service delivery models.
