Package, Hours and Benefits- £36,000 - £42,000 dependent on experience
- 8:30am - 5pm (flexibility can be given), with an earlier finish on Fridays
- 33 days holiday – including bank holidays

Essential Experience, Skills & Attributes
- Proven experience in Mechanical Design Engineer or drawing roles within industrial, manufacturing, or engineering environments, producing accurate layouts and fabrication documentation.
- Strong 2D AutoCAD skills and experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for modelling systems, assemblies, and layouts.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, project requirements, and inputs from sales and commissioning teams to deliver accurate, buildable designs.
- Understanding of fabrication and installation practices, with a methodical, detail-focused approach and ability to coordinate drawings across multiple live projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong computer literacy (including Microsoft Office), and confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Mechanical engineering qualification, HNC, HND or Degree.
- Willing to attend site visits to support surveys.
- The Mechanical Design Engineer will produce accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D models for general arrangement, layouts, and fabrication, ensuring compliance with project requirements, company standards, and customer specifications.
- Work closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to interpret design intent, project requirements, and installation constraints.
- Conduct site surveys and incorporate feedback from project teams, suppliers, and customers to maintain drawing accuracy.
- Manage drawing issuance, revision control, and documentation while coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors on fabrication and interface details.
- Support continuous improvement by standardizing templates, symbols, and best practices across the design team.
