Company and Role Overview This is an excellent opportunity with a world leader in the manufacture of precision-engineered products. The company has built a reputation for quality, innovation, and reliability. The Warehouse Operator will work in and around the company’s primary storage warehouse in a ‘hands-on’ role. You will use manual handling, a variety of vehicles and computer systems to enable smooth flow of parts and materials from purchase receipt, through storage and supply into the factory for work. Warehouse Operator Pay, Hours and Benefits * £24,470 * 7:30am – 4:15pm Monday – Thursday with a 12:30pm finish on Fridays * 32 days holiday’s including bank holidays * Above average company pension contribution * On site Gym * Secured Parking This Position is Commutable From: Accrington, Blackburn, Burnley, Chorley, Bury, Rochdale Warehouse Operator Candidate Requirements * The Warehouse Operator will hold a current or previous Counterbalance Forklift licence. Training and certification in the use of other vehicles will be provided in order to meet the skills & abilities criteria. * Comfortable with manual handling of parts and materials in line with manual handling operation regulations. * Able to use a computer; training is provided on the company system. * Conscientious and diligent in your work. * Understands the value of tasks and wants to complete them in a timely manner. Warehouse Operator Key Responsibilities * A methodical approach to systems and understanding of the importance of standards and established/agreed systems of work. * Able to make decisions based on experience, have confidence to act and make changes within given boundaries. * Good personal organisation under pressure from time, internal and external customers. * Computer literate. * Comfortable with working at heights and safety escape procedures in the warehouse. * Time management skills. * Good verbal communication and listening skills. * Ability to promote the company in a positive manner.
