Test and Development Engineer Pay and Hours * £32,000 – £40,000, dependant on experience * 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm This role is commutable from the following areas: Leicester, Loughborough, Derby, Nottingham, Burton upon Trent, Test and Development Engineer Role Overview * The Test and Development Engineer will support all steps of the new & existing product development cycle, being directly involved in the development of a product from its concept through to its launch. * You will collaborate closely with other departments to deliver high quality products to market, whilst maintaining exceptional customer experience. Test and Development Engineer Candidate Requirements * Hands-on Product Testing, with demonstrable experience in a similar product development, or technical sales role. * Experience in producing and managing technical files and documentation. * A collaborative, honest approach with the ability to work independently and part of a team. * Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. * Experience in writing test procedures and undertaking testing to evaluate product performance would be advantageous. * A proactive, customer focused mindset that strives to enhance the customer experience. * Test and Development Engineer Key Responsibilities This is a varied role, which will include the following: * New and Existing Product Development – Ideation, Development and Commercialisation. * Continuous Improvement and Quality Assurance – Lead on the implementation of a new product information, assisting with inbound/outbound quality inspections. * Internal and External Relationships – Purchasing – Work with the Purchasing Manager to provide guidance when dealing with technical queries arising from suppliers. – Marketing – With the Product Manager contribute to the creation of technically accurate and detailed marketing assets. – Customer Experience – Support the customer service teams to deliver a satisfactory resolution. – Service – Provide briefings to in-house service engineers and service agents.
