Salary, Benefits and Working hours
- £35,000 - £40,000
- 37.5 hours per week: 8:00am - 5:00pm Mon to Weds, 4:30pm finish on Thursday and a 12:00pm finish on Fridays
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Role Overview
An experienced CMM Operator is required to join the company’s Inspection Laboratory, supporting a growing engineering organisation with ambitious long-term plans. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that components, sub-assemblies and completed products meet defined quality standards before progressing through production and into the hands of customers. This is a great opportunity for someone with inspection or quality experience who’s looking to develop their career in a technically interesting environment, with access to ongoing training and progression.
CMM Operator Essential Experience, Skills & Attributes
- Proven experience as a CMM Operator; Mitutoyo experience would be highly advantageous, but other CMM experience will be considered
- Previous experience in an inspection or quality-related role (essential)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Familiarity with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes
- Strong attention to detail with a methodical, well-organised approach to work
CMM Operator Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Inspecting incoming components and sub-assemblies within the goods inwards function
- Carrying out physical audits of fully assembled kit prior to customer shipment
- Inspecting individual parts and assemblies in line with engineering drawings
- Performing First Article Inspections (FAI) to meet quality and compliance requirements
- Accurately completing inspection records and associated documentation
- Carrying out all inspection activities on-site within the company’s facilities
