The Project Manager will take the lead on major engineering projects with a truly international reach. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a leading international engineering and manufacturing organisation operating across the mining, heavy engineering and bulk materials handling sectors. This is a senior, high-impact role combining engineering project management, technical governance, tender review and engineering standardisation, giving you the opportunity to shape project delivery, influence engineering standards and drive continuous improvement across an international group. Working closely with engineering teams, manufacturing facilities, suppliers, customers and overseas operations, you’ll play a key role in delivering strategic engineering projects within a technically challenging and globally connected environment. Project Manager Pay and Benefits * Salary £60,000 - £70.000 * Working Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm with flexibility (100% office-based role) * Realistic career progression / career growth opportunities * 10% employer pension * Performance related bonus (company/individual) * Relocation package * Company will support Work Permits requirements where required Project Manager Candidate Requirements You will ideally have 10+ years' experience within mining, bulk materials handling, mineral processing, crushing, screening, conveying, heavy engineering or a related machinery/equipment environment, together with proven experience delivering engineering projects. * Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Operations Management or a related technical discipline. * Proven experience managing engineering projects from concept through to completion, ideally within a heavy engineering, machinery or industrial equipment environment. * Strong understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, technical specifications and engineered systems. * Experience supporting technical tenders, proposals, design reviews and engineering approvals. * Strong stakeholder management, communication, organisational and project planning skills, with the ability to coordinate teams across multiple locations. * Willingness and ability to travel internationally * PMP or an equivalent project management qualification would be advantageous. Project Manager Role and Responsibilities You will be responsible for coordinating engineering projects from concept through to implementation, ensuring projects are delivered effectively against agreed technical, commercial and engineering requirements. Key responsibilities will include: * Manage and coordinate engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery against agreed timescales, budgets and technical requirements. * Coordinate engineering activities across international teams, suppliers and project stakeholders, ensuring effective resource and project planning. * Lead technical reviews of tenders and proposals, supporting engineering governance, design reviews and project approvals. * Monitor project progress, risks, budgets and deliverables, providing clear reporting and ensuring appropriate actions are taken. * Review engineering drawings, specifications and project documentation, ensuring compliance with established engineering standards and practices. * Support engineering change management, document control and lessons learned, driving continuous improvement and standardisation across the Group. * Provide technical and project support to engineering, manufacturing and sales teams, including international customer projects and major engineering development programmes, with international travel as required.
