The Role The Welder / Fabricator will be responsible for producing high-quality welded and fabricated components to drawings, specifications and required output levels, taking real pride in delivering work right first time. Welder / Fabricator Pay, Hours and Benefits Β£41,515 (including the nights shift allowance) 38 hours per week (over 4 days only) Monday to Thursday: 10:00pm 7:30am (you can start 30 mins earlier and finish 30 mins earlier) 32 days holidays including bank holidays Production Bonus Scheme Other Benefits Include: Above average company pension contribution, on-site Gym, Secured Parking Welder / Fabricator Position is Commutable From: Accrington, Blackburn, Burnley, Chorley, Bury, Rochdale Welder / Fabricator Candidate Requirements A key part of the role is taking pride and ownership in the quality of your work, helping to drive a strong Right First Time culture across the organisation. Youll have access to internal and external training, where appropriate, to keep your skills and knowledge up to date with the latest factory processes, equipment and working practices. Time-served Welder/Fabricator with strong practical experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Confident MIG/MAG & TIG welder, with the ability to produce high-quality welds to the required specification and standards. Strong engineering drawing skills, able to interpret drawings, quality plans and written/verbal work instructions accurately. Technically capable and quality-focused, with experience using a range of precision measuring equipment and a methodical approach to working. Additional welding experience welcomed particularly robotic welding and seam welding; Welder / Fabricator Key Responsibilities (but not limited to) Weld to a high standard using MIG/MAG and TIG processes, meeting quality requirements and ASME standards, with six-monthly welder testing. Read and interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols and WPS, ensuring all fabrication and welding work is completed accurately to specification. Set up and operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, radial drills, end mills and edge planers. Flame-cut, fabricate and assemble sheet metal components, including bending, straightening, fettling, grinding and finishing using appropriate hand and power tools. Deliver productive, right-first-time workmanship, completing quality documentation and maintaining high standards throughout the manufacturing process.
