Job Description The Opportunity \n This is an excellent hands-on opportunity for an experienced Technical Lead Engineer to step into a genuine technical leadership position within an established engineering business. \n The role offers a great combination of design, product development, customer interaction, testing and hands-on engineering, giving you the opportunity to have a real influence on products and the wider technical direction of the business. \n Crucially, this is a role with a long-term succession plan. n \n Salary £42,000 - £48,000 dependant on experience \n 37.5 hours, office based, 8:30am - 5:00pm (4:30pm on Friday's) \n 10% pension (employer contributes 5%) \n 31 days annual leave (including bank holidays) \n Progression / succession within the role \n \n Technical Lead Key Responsibilities \n \n Deal directly with customers, understanding their requirements, answering technical queries and developing practical solutions. \n Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings and technical documentation. \n Carry out testing, evaluation, fault-finding and product development, giving you plenty of opportunity to get hands-on. \n Support some electrical design using SolidWorks Electrical, providing useful additional breadth without the role becoming heavily electrical. \n \n Technical Lead Candidate Requirements \n We're looking for someone who is technically strong but also practical, commercially aware and confident dealing with people. \n \n Strong mechanical design experience within a manufacturing or product development environment, with good practical engineering knowledge.
