The Company If you are an experienced Field Service Engineer with Calibration experience, this is your chance to join a globally respected precision engineering company. Operating from a state-of-the-art UK facility, they provide their clients with cutting-edge equipment, expert support, and comprehensive training—driving accuracy and productivity across engineering sectors. Salary, Hours and Benefits * £34,000 * Company Car * Discretionary End of year Bonus * 40 hours per week, 8:30am – 5:00pm * 31 days holiday (including bank holidays) – which increase service * Private health insurance and death in service cover – after a qualifying period * Modern working facility, with support and development Commutable From: Coventry, Solihull, Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, Rugby Role Function The Field Service Engineer will work independently representing the company at Customer premises. The role is managed from the HQ Service centre and covers installation, service, repair, and calibration of precision measuring equipment. This is a field-based role focusing mainly on the customer base in the Midlands, although travel further afield may be required as well as occasional overnight stays. Field Service Engineer Candidate Requirements * Minimum of BTEC / Apprenticeship or equivalent in an engineering discipline, or relevant ‘Hands-On’ industry experience. * Precision engineering background, with hands-on / practical mechanical background. * Some electrical skills would be useful, ie, able to replace boards, use test equipment etc. * Effective communicator, organisation skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. * Good IT skills. * Full valid driving license. Field Service Engineer Desirable Requirements * Experience of fault finding on mechanical/electrical systems. * Strong time management skills. * Have good interpersonal skills. Field Service Engineer Responsibilities Visit customer sites to: * Install precision measuring equipment. * Complete service and calibration work. * Undertake trouble shooting including fault-finding, diagnosis and rectification.
