We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive QHSE Manager to lead the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental functions across the UK operation. You’ll be the driving force behind the company’s QHSE systems, compliance, customer quality and continuous improvement, working closely with Engineering, Operations, Design, Sales, suppliers and customers. MUST HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN THE UK Commutable from Solihull, Birmingham, Coventry, Tamworth, Nuneaton, Atherstone, Hinckley, Lutterworth, Southam, Knowle, Warwick and Coleshill KEY BENEFITS * Salary: £55,000 + (Neg for the right person) * Unique products * Stable, long-standing established organisation * Inspired, passionate Leadership * Future investment on the horizon * Friendly place of work RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead the QHSE function across the UK business. * Manage and maintain ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 systems. * Drive corrective and preventative actions and resolve day-to-day QHSE issues. * Manage customer, supplier and internal quality concerns. * Lead 8D investigations and corrective actions. * Manage supplier approval, development and quality performance. * Drive APQP and product quality planning. * Conduct internal and supplier audits and manage external/customer audits. * Monitor and report QHSE KPIs and performance. * Lead risk assessment and management activities. * Support new product development and engineering projects. * Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement. * Develop the QHSE team and promote a strong quality and safety culture throughout the business. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU! * Previous experience in a QHSE / Quality leadership role * Manufacturing or Engineering experience – ideally automotive or similar * Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 * Experience with 8D, APQP, auditing and corrective actions * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement * Experience within batch production * Knowledge of metal cutting, welding and assembly * Good understanding of materials, certification and testing * Excellent communication and report-writing skills * IOSH or NEBOSH qualification * Engineering/Manufacturing/Materials degree or equivalent experience You’ll be a confident communicator who can work comfortably at every level of the business — from the shop floor through to senior management, customers and suppliers.
