Were looking for a skilled engineer to join the Tooling team, working on a wide range of injection moulding tools, hot runner systems and tooling equipment in a busy manufacturing environment. Commutable from Wolverhampton, Oswestry, Market Drayton, Shrewsbury, Rugeley, Cannock, Telford, Bridgnorth, Stafford and PenkridgeDutiesYoull be responsible for keeping production tooling running smoothlyCarrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, diagnosing breakdowns and supporting new tool and product trials.
Servicing, maintaining and repairing injection moulding toolsDiagnosing and resolving tooling breakdowns to minimise production downtimeWorking with sequential gate hot runner systemsWorking with hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders associated with tooling and hot runner systemsUsing lathes, milling machines and surface grinding equipmentBasic electrical knowledge relating to tool heating and controlsPlanning jobs and ensuring the correct tools, equipment and spares are availableSupporting production during new tool and product trialsRequirementsMechanical / fitting apprenticeship or equivalent engineering trainingPrevious experience working with injection moulding toolingGood knowledge of hot runner systems, ideally sequential gate systemsExperience with hydraulic and pneumatic tooling systemsPractical workshop experience using lathes, milling machines and surface grindersBasic electrical understandingAbility to diagnose problems and work efficiently under pressureCrane operating experience would be advantageous, but not essentialIf you are a Hands-on Toolmaker looking for a stable, days- based role, where your skills will be genuinely valued, apply now!
