Probe Technical Recruitment are recruiting a very exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager for a global manufacturer based near Rutland. The current Engineering Manager is staying within the site just moving roles. We are looking for someone to effectively manage the Maintenance, Development, and Site service teams to ensure plant / equipment availability, reliability and performance. You will assist with the further development of the team of over twenty engineering colleagues, engaged in the maintenance of machines, automation and ancillary equipment.

The benefits package for the Engineering Manager role includes:

  • £55,000 salary.
  • Days role Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm but site is 24/7 so some flexibility is required.
  • 33 days holiday.
  • Enhanced pension matched up to 6%.

  • Company sick pay after one year's service.

The key areas for the Engineering Manager focus:

  • Previous experience from a manufacturing background is very desirable.
  • Provide a safe and effective reactive maintenance response to unplanned breakdowns.
  • Maintain an effective planned maintenance program.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for our manufacturing processes monitoring production data and root cause failure analysis.
  • Manage maintenance and capital expenditure budgets.
  • Effectively manage spare part procurement and stockholding levels.
  • Identify and justify yearly capex projects needed to keep the plant running at budgeted levels of performance.
  • Maintain relationships with key suppliers and sub-contractors.
