Responsibilities
- Expert mechanical and electrical system knowledge with the ability to identify, diagnose and rectify breakdowns
- Ensure plant and equipment performance meets operational efficiency and compliance standards
- Deliver and improve planned preventative maintenance across the site whilst maintaining CMMS records
- Lead on instrumentation, process controls and PLC-related tasks (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley)
- Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production
- Provide training and support to new and existing team members
Controls Engineer Requirements
- Apprentice trained or equivalent engineering qualification
- Strong PLC knowledge (Diagnosing & programming)
- Be prepared to assist other sites with PLC systems or small automation projects (remote or on-site)
- Experience delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills
