We are offering a role for a CNC Programmer Turner Setter to join our precision engineering team. We blend heritage craftsmanship with forward-thinking processes and as our CNC Programmer Turner Setter, you will be proficient in programming, setting and operating CNC Turning machines.
Established for many years, we offer a range of different manufacturing processes, providing top quality products into a wide variety of different manufacturing industry sectors. We are an award-winning business, renowned for our luxury products.
Responsibilities for CNC Turner:
- Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines (Mazak, XYZ and Citizen)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Competent with all aspects of setting tools and understanding cutting speeds, feeds, boring, drilling and threading
- Machine components to tight tolerances
- Perform tooling setups with a strong understanding of speeds and feeds
- Use precision measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc.)
Requirements for CNC Turner:
- Significant experience in CNC Setting, Operating programming
- Ideally knowledge of Mazak, XYZ or Citizen
- Sound knowledge of machining principles and best practices
- Proficient in the use of inspection and measurement equipment
- Experience of measuring/inspection equipment, including verniers, bore gauges and micrometers
- Positive, proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
