Electrical Engineer Role Overview The Electrical Engineer will be part of the engineering team supporting the production, buying and service departments, answering queries and updating product information, providing practical ‘hands on’ assistance on special projects and prototypes. Electrical Engineer Hours, Pay and Benefits * £42,000 - £45,000 * 37 hours per week, 8:00am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, with a 1pm finish on Friday’s (this is a full-time in office role) * Benefits include: above average employer pension contribution of 6.5%, above average holiday allowance of 26 days plus bank holidays, 3 x salary life assurance, company bonus (first £3,000 is tax-free). This Role is Commutable From: Nottingham, Derby, Burton upon Trent, Coalville, Loughborough Electrical Engineer Candidate Requirements * Electrical design of panel-wired systems, including circuit and wiring diagrams. * Electrical protection and component selection, including switches, relays, contactors and wiring. * Experience implementing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control systems. * Electrical fault finding, testing and relay/logic systems. * Basic electronics and EMC principles, including power supplies, op-amps and ADCs. Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities * Design and modify electrical circuit, wiring and assembly drawings using CAD. * Maintain drawings, BOMs and technical information within the ERP system. * Provide technical support to production, purchasing, sales and service teams. * Build and test prototypes and products, including wiring, fault finding and factory testing. * Support design modifications, standards compliance and continuous improvement to improve quality, functionality and cost.
