The UK site in Telford employs approximately 110 staff and has a turnover of £25m+, serving blue-chip clients across consumer and industrial markets.

As a Site Buyer, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to secure best-in-class procurement outcomes.
Commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Dudley, Aldridge, Telford, Wolverhampton, Shrewsbury, Willenhall, Broseley, Market Drayton, Church Stretton, Stafford and Cannock.

- Provide quarterly supplier forecasts aligned with customer demand, managing supply deviations effectively.
- Develop tailored procurement contracts.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any deviation in delivery time, cost, or quality.
- Ensure supplier systems are aligned with lean production requirements.
- Achieve and exceed cost-saving targets through price negotiation and strategic sourcing.
- Regularly review specifications and pricing.
- Scan the market for alternative supply sources, new materials, and more efficient procurement solutions.
- Lead supplier value analysis and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Build long-term, value-driven partnerships with key suppliers.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and reviews in partnership with the Quality Team.
- Ensure suppliers are up to date with current specifications and manage changes to minimise waste.
- Participate in the development of strategic suppliers through joint improvement plans.
- Buying experience ideally from a manufacturing / engineering background.
- Ideally hold CIPS though not essential.
- Experience with SAP or similar would be advantageous but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven track record of managing procurement projects and delivering measurable cost savings.
- Strong commercial acumen and proactive approach to market trends and changes.
- Customer-centric mindset—both internal and external.
- Strategic, analytical thinker with a solutions-oriented approach.
