We are seeking to recruit a proven Project Engineer to join a busy fast-paced manufacturing plant that supplies globally. You will join the current team of two, to take the lead on all phases of project management for a particular product at the site. In this pivotal role, you’ll drive projects from initial concept, ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and aligned with business objectives. This role is central to delivering high-impact projects that drive operational excellence.

To be successful you must be a Mechanical or Electrical specialist with a hands-on skilled background in either discipline. Time served engineer with experience in a production facility environment (apprenticeship minimum) having achieved mechanical/electrical engineering focused qualification.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Managing projects through 5 phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, closure.
- Contractor Management
- Have project management ability, with a proven track record of delivering projects through structured phases
- Be competent in managing priorities, timelines, and budgets independently.
- Have a continuous improvement mindset, actively seeking ways to optimise and innovate, be proactive
- Have digital proficiency, with experience using MS Office, CMMS, AutoCAD, and project management software
The role of Project Engineer is commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield, and Chesterfield. Please note: Candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
