This is an opportunity to work for a leading special purpose engineering manufacturer specialising in the design and manufacture of quality products for the Aerospace and Automotive sectors.

Due to continued success, they have a permanent opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer, working in a Precision Engineering environment.

This will be a varied and interesting job role, with a focus on the design of the company specialist products.

Mechanical Design Engineer Salary and Benefits

  • £27,000 – £42,000 (salary is negotiable dependant on your level of experience)
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Attendance bonus

    Mechanical Design Engineer Candidate Requirements

  • The Mechanical Design Engineer must have experience in a previous Engineering Design role using 2D and 3D CAD on AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Minimum qualification is HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in a Precision Engineering environment
  • Tool design experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Mechanical Design Engineer Key Responsibilities

  • Producing design Layouts for quotation purposes.
  • Produce the technical design and specification of the tool to meet customer’s enquiry.
  • Produce 2D and 3D CAD production drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Help support the Technical Department with root cause analysis of technical issues and provide general design support.
  • Support theBlog production department with technical queries.
