Job Description

We’re seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join one of the UK’s most respected textiles and manufacturing businesses. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position is commutable from the following locations: Blackburn / Bolton / Oldham / Burnley

Shift in place:

The Maintenance Engineer will be required to work a Continental shift – 4on-4off – 2days – 2nights. 12-hour shift – working 7am till 7pm with 277 hours holiday.

  • Requirements:

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on factory machines.
  • Overhaul, upkeep, and repair of all plant machines
  • Responding to breakdowns
  • Overhaul of gearboxes, pumps and motors, Temp Controllers, Granulator’s, Shredders.
  • Repairs to pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer/ Fitter in a manufacturing or production environment
  • We are looking for a proactive individual who can work well within a team but also to their own initiative.
  • Ideally the right individual with be Apprentice trained.
  • Holding a NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Mechanical engineering
