A fantastic new opportunity for an electrically-biased Maintenance Engineer to join a leading specialist manufacturer. This is an opportunity to join an established organisation who have 50+ years within the industry. This is an award-winning organisation who hold a very strong track record.

This is an opportunity for a driven, motivated Engineer who is confident and holds strong electrical abilities, an opportunity to join an already established maintenance team.

The Maintenance Electrician role is commutable from the following locations: Rochdale / Bolton / Manchester / Oldham

Benefits the Maintenance Electrician will receive:

Shift in place: Days – Monday to Friday. 7:30am till 4pm – Early finish on a Friday.

Call out system in place – you will be required to work a 1in5 call out system.

Duties and requirements the Maintenance electrician will hold and be responsible for:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is essential to this role.
  • Strong fault-finding abilities.
  • Prove experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with: AC & DC Drives, Installation experience, Wire testing, Panel Building, Instrumentation.
  • Experienced with Siemens PLC’s – strong fault-finding abilities – Programming would be at an advantage.
  • Planned preventive maintenance.
  • Carry out routine servicing and inspection on all production machinery.
  • Carry out essential testing of equipment and systems.
  • Ideally holding experience with ATEX equipment.
  • Ideally, we are looking for a 70/30 split as there will be some mechanical requirements.
  • We are looking for an Apprentice trained maintenance electrician.
  • Holding a Formal qualification in Electrical engineering – City & Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 3
  • 17th / 18th IEE Wiring regulations.
  • City & Guilds 2391 Testing
  • UK Driving licence required / Travel to alternative sites required – all site located in within 5Miles of one another.
  • Must be happy to work the required call out system. Working 1in5 calls – this is split between engineers.
