IT Frontline Service Technician Role Overview
This is an exciting time for the business as the continue with their business expansion and the successful candidate will have access to some of the latest technology and will be a key member of the team to help shape the direction of IT within the business.
They are looking for an IT Frontline Service Technician that has been doing a 1st/2nd line support role, and that has also had a bit of experience at 3rd line if possible. You will need to be able to triage incoming tickets/requests, diagnose and resolve the tickets as best you can, and escalate up to 3rd line where you are unable to resolve the issue directly, but you will also be taken through the 3rd line resolution with the infrastructure team in order to better develop overall knowledge.
The role currently reports to the Head of IT, you will work closely with the Infrastructure Team on a daily basis but will also be involved with the rest of the IT team on other projects.
Time will be given to the successful candidate to attend any required training courses, and they also have access to Udemy training, so you can attend any of the training courses available if you wish in order to extend your list of skills and experiences.
The business has 6 sites, but the role is based in Derbyshire, with the occasional travel to the other sites as and when required.
