We are offering an exceptional opportunity for a DESIGN ENGINEER

This role is key, giving you responsibility to create new product designs from concept through to production

Commutable from Birmingham, Redditch, Studley, Coventry, Bromsgrove, Earlswood, Solihull, Stratford Upon Avon, Kidderminster, Leamington Spa, Alcester, Evesham and Halesowen

  • RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create new product designs from concept through to production
  • Conduct design changes to existing products
  • Attend NPI meetings
  • Working with a wide range of materials, such as plastic injection mould, castings and metals
  • This is a multi-dimensional role, with a range of projects on the go, at any one time
  • Working closely with customers and suppliers
  • Drive cost reduction projects
  • BOM and Part creation, drawing revision and Issues control
  • Familiar with computer simulation and modelling programs
  • If experienced, review Design Engineers work
  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant Qualifications to support experience- ideally, to Degree level
  • It is essential that you have exposure to 3D & β€œD CAD, such as Solidworks or CATIA
  • Ideally, you will have gained your experience from within a manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Knowledge of diecast, moulded, pressed or machined parts would be advantageous
  • This would suit a friendly, sociable character
  • To have the ability to work on a n umber of projects at any one time
  • Keen eye for detail
  • To have the ability build relationships
