They offer a full design service, project management and product development facilities. While still focusing on the Retail market, they now offer design expertise, prototyping and manufacturing for the hospitality, healthcare, corporate, sport, leisure and education sectors.
CAD Designer (Shopfitting) Salary, Hours and Benefits
- £35,000 – £45,000
- 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Hybrid working – two days per week from the office
- Modern manufacturing facility
- Onsite parking
This role is commutable from the following areas: Oldbury, Dudley, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton, Stourbridge.
CAD Designer (Shopfitting) Role Overview
Due to the growth of the company, the business is seeking an enthusiastic person to join their Design department. The role will specialise in the design of retail equipment within Interior Shop Fit Outs. Knowledge of CAD Design, Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks and having a background within retail shopfitting would be hugely advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be able to work as part of a team and follow instructions but also act on your own accord, whilst working to tight deadlines and schedules. The role will create full production drawing packs, cutting lists and requisition sheets whilst supporting the rest of the team, ensuring all projects are delivered on schedule and on budget.
CAD Designer (Shopfitting) Candidate Requirements
- Highly proficient in Solidworks packages or Autodesk Inventor
- Experience in the design and manufacture of retail equipment / retail interiors (this experience would be a big advantage)
- An Engineering / Design degree would be useful, but is not essential
- Knowledge of different timbers, materials and joinery
- Good working knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
- Excellent engineering problem solving
- Proficient in MS Office
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite – beneficial
- Full UK driving licence
