This is an opportunity to work for a leading special purpose engineering manufacturer specialising in the design and manufacture of quality products for the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. Due to continued success, they have a permanent opening for a Mechanical Design Engineer, working in a Precision Engineering environment. This will be a varied and interesting job role, with a focus on the design of the company specialist products.
Salary and Benefits
- £27,000 - £42,000 (salary is negotiable dependant on your level of experience)
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Attendance bonus

Candidate Requirements
- The Mechanical Design Engineer must have experience in a previous Engineering Design role using 2D and 3D CAD on AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Minimum qualification is HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in a Precision Engineering environment.
- Tool design experience would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing design layouts for quotation purposes.
- Produce the technical design and specification of the tool to meet customer’s enquiry.
- Produce 2D and 3D CAD production drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
- Help support the Technical Department with root cause analysis of technical issues and provide general design support.
- Support the production department with technical queries.
