Are you a skilled Service Engineer – mechanically biased looking for a new challenge? Want to work with a company that values experience, offers variety, and gets you home for a long weekend every week?

We’re on the lookout for an Apprentice-Trained Service Engineer with a strong mechanical bias to join an established team. Based in Blackburn, you’ll travel to key customer sites across Bristol, Scunthorpe, Cumbria, and Leicester, providing top-tier service and support.

Location: Blackburn (with travel to Bristol, Scunthorpe, Cumbria & Leicester)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:30am – 5:00pm (4-day working week!)

Experience & Requirements for the Service Engineer:

  • Apprentice trained and qualified to Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (essential)
  • Experience in sewage treatment, recycling plants, or heavy engineering environments is highly desirable
  • Comfortable with UK-wide travel (Monday–Thursday)
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with excellent customer service abilities
  • Servicing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment on customer sites
  • Providing technical support and ensuring machinery runs efficiently and safely
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
  • Working closely with site teams to ensure high standards are met.
