proAV is a leading global audio‑visual integrator that provides event and AV services to multiple client partners worldwide. The London team requires an experienced Event and Conference Technician to give technical onsite support in event spaces, conference rooms, meeting rooms and video‑conferencing software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setup and operation of integrated event spaces, including high‑profile auditorium presentations and town halls.
  • Proficient use of audio, video and lighting equipment (digital and analogue).
  • Video‑conference/audio‑conference set‑up and support using software and hardware platforms such as Zoom, Cisco and Polycom systems.
  • Manage all aspects of video calls from initial booking through to monitoring and completion of calls, including scheduling and full system operational testing prior to high‑profile events.
  • Prepare equipment for future events and meetings as required.
  • Work alongside the Breakfix team to locate faults and provide resolutions, fixing or replacing hardware when relevant for AV & VC facilities.
  • Perform 1st/2nd line repairs and ongoing preventative maintenance, including daily checks on all equipment in the building.
  • Provide audio‑visual support to other areas of the business, e.g., setting up public address systems or assisting with presentations in meeting rooms.
  • Act as the main client interface when required, presenting a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Maintain customer service excellence and resolve issues quickly and professionally under pressure.
  • Work onsite shifts to meet event requirements, including out‑of‑hours coverage when needed.
  • Collaborate with the help desk and operations team to arrange backup support.
  • Support the livestreaming team and train end users as required.
  • Provide individual support to users at all seniority levels.
  • Assist with high‑level audio/visual quality of presentations, optimizing aspect ratios, resolutions and file formats for each space.

About You

You possess strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You are a team player yet capable of working independently as the main client interface and can liaise professionally with senior executives.
