About the role
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to be a key part of our Egham team, taking full responsibility for supporting the Warehouse supervisor in day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring all key tasks are performed accurately and on time. You will lead by example across all Warehouse functions. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Warehouse Operative to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity. Seniority and remuneration will reflect experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Be familiar with all departmental policies and processes and support the team to ensure they are followed.
- Ensure “Goods in” activity for all deliveries is efficient and accurate.
- Ensure all paperwork for picks / “Goods in” is processed correctly.
- Ensure stock is located safely and accurately at all times and the stock location is recorded accurately on the system.
- Ensure daily pick requests are completed on time and are accurate, covering both internal and external pick requests for equipment, consumables and any other requested items.
- Ensure returns are processed correctly and coordinated with the Returns team.
- Investigate and report on missing items or pick queries.
- Ensure deliveries and collections to and from proAV House are processed correctly and on time.
- Support vesting requests, including photos and coordination with requestors.
- Conduct and support annual stocktake.
- Liaise with different departments within the business to ensure deadlines are achieved and communications are effective.
- Ensure Health and Safety rules and policies are applied at all times.
- Conduct best practice on housekeeping, keeping the Warehouse environment safe, clean and tidy.
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team. Methodical and tidy in approach. Familiarity with modern warehousing practices, and performing inventory controls and rolling stock checks.
Hours of work
40 hours per week, 9 hours a day on a rotational shift basis between 7am-7pm, including an hour unpaid break, Monday-Friday.
