Role Overview
The Design Department is at the heart of ProAV's business. As the country's leading AV System Integrator, we work to maintain the highest possible standards of design and accuracy. ProAV designed systems are installed in some of the most prestigious and iconic locations anywhere in the world, places where technical innovation and design innovation overlap and complement each other. Working alongside—and supported by—the Senior Design Team, a System Designer will be involved with the full range of tasks carried out by the ProAV Design Team. As part of a structured training and development program, with ongoing support and mentorship, you will have the opportunity to progress through to Senior Design level.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and issue of System Schematics, including plans, rack elevations, plans and any other drawings required by the project delivery team.
- Creation and maintenance of AutoCAD block libraries.
- Scrutinising specification documentation, BOM and scoping documents to ensure that designed solutions are fit for purpose.
- Updating and maintenance issue logs and update trackers.
- Attending meetings, roundtables, and design development sessions.
- Assisting with design related administration tasks, drawings revision, drawing issuing and publishing.
- Support and mentor Trainee Design team members.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in the Audio Visual industry at a Technical, Engineering or Delivery level.
- Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Teams.
- Effective communicator.
- A can-do attitude and a desire to find engineering solutions is a must.
Additional Skills
No previous Design experience is required but must have a background or foundation in the technical industry and an understanding of integrated AV Systems.
