Role Overview: This well-established distributor of integrated solutions seeks a highly skilled and experienced IT Infrastructure Manager & Database Administrator to join the team based in Wiltshire. Key responsibilities include supporting end-to-end IT infrastructure across the wider business, combining proven expertise in SAP Business One upgrades and new launch implementation. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives on variety, able to manage strategic undertakings with a high level of ‘hands-on’ technical execution. The ideal candidate may be looking to move away from an IT management role, simply aiming to retain and utilise all proven IT systems knowledge, be involved in technology transformation and next-gen solution integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure including desktop environments, servers, network security, and telephony systems
- Manage and administer SQL Server databases, with a focus on data manipulation, reporting, and integration
- Lead the upgrade configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of SAP Business One, ensuring system efficiency and data accuracy
- Collaborate across departments to identify IT needs and align technology solutions with business objectives
- Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures, including security protocols and disaster recovery
- Manage third-party vendors and service providers to maintain optimal IT services and uptime
- Provide technical support and training to internal users, troubleshooting issues and deploying upgrades

- Proven experience in IT management and database administration, preferably in SME or mid-sized environments, minimum 5-10 years relevant employment experience
- Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Business One is essential
- Proficiency in SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and data transformation tasks
- Strong technical acumen across desktop systems (Windows OS), network infrastructure, and cloud platforms
