This position is responsible for overseeing European payroll operations, serving as the single point of contact for payroll-related matters, and supporting systems integrations for new acquisitions. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing, partners with HR and Finance, and provides operational support for harmonization and integration projects. The Supervisor will collaborate with the HRVP for the geography, global payroll leadership, and cross-functional teams to generate payroll improvements, support One ProAmpac initiatives, and HR integration activities.

- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for Europe (Ireland, UK, Switzerland & Germany), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal and provincial regulations.
- Serve as the primary contact for European payroll inquiries, escalations, and vendor coordination.
- Support systems integrations for new acquisitions, including onboarding, data migration, and process alignment.
- Collaborate with Sr. Manager – Global Payroll and global payroll team to harmonize practices and support cross-border initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of European payroll legislation, GDPR requirements and best practices.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and IT to resolve payroll issues and drive process improvements.
- Ensure payroll data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with internal controls.
- Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and year-end reporting.
- Provide training and guidance to HR staff and employees on payroll processes and system usage.
- Participate in project teams for system upgrades, expansions, and new-country rollouts as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, HR, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of European payroll experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of European payroll legislation and payroll systems (UKG Pro/WFM or equivalent).
- Experience supporting system integrations, acquisitions, or payroll transitions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (English/German) preferred but not essential.
- Experience with UKG Pro, UKG Managed Services, and UKG OneView strongly preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of payroll, HRIS systems, time systems, General ledger, account structure.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Outlook email, and calendar.
- Demonstrated experience ensuring GDPR compliance in payroll and HR systems.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establish priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
- Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
- Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
