ProAmpac is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our established engineering team at our Melbourn manufacturing site.
What you'll be doing
- Responding to machinery breakdowns and carrying out effective fault diagnosis and repairs
- Completing planned preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections
- Supporting the reliability and performance of factory machinery
- Recording faults, corrective actions and parts used within our maintenance system
- Identifying and reporting follow-up or remedial maintenance requirements
- Supporting spare-parts organisation and stock control
- Working in accordance with site Health & Safety and quality procedures
- Communicating equipment issues, risks and improvement opportunities to the maintenance management team
- Supporting continuous improvement across the engineering function
- Sharing knowledge and supporting other engineers where required
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or similar
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment is highly desirable
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience
- Experience with planned and reactive maintenance
- A Level 3 qualification or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Experience using a computerised maintenance/CMMS system would be advantageous
- A practical, proactive approach and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy production environment
Working pattern
This position works Monday to Friday on a rotating two-shift pattern comprising late and night shifts.
Late shift:
Monday to Thursday: 14:00 to 22:00
Friday: 11:30 to 17:00
Night shift:
Night working across Monday to Friday, generally 22:00 to 06:00.
