The role:

  • Create, maintain and manage daily production schedules and medium-term production plans.
  • Review forecasts, material usage, production volumes and operational performance data.
  • Analyse production capacity and utilisation to support efficient planning decisions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and demand requirements, developing replenishment plans to minimise stock issues.
  • Support material transfers and external outsourcing activities where required.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure finished goods requirements are achieved.
  • Adjust schedules to respond to changing priorities, operational challenges and customer requirements.
  • Ensure incoming materials and shipments align with purchase order requirements.
  • Produce reports and planning information to support operational decision making.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service and other departments to ensure effective communication and delivery of business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced planning performance.

What do we want from you?

  • Previous experience within production planning, scheduling, supply chain, inventory control or a similar manufacturing role.
  • Ideally educated to Associate Degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed planning decisions.
  • A team-focused attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
