The role:
- Create, maintain and manage daily production schedules and medium-term production plans.
- Review forecasts, material usage, production volumes and operational performance data.
- Analyse production capacity and utilisation to support efficient planning decisions.
- Monitor inventory levels and demand requirements, developing replenishment plans to minimise stock issues.
- Support material transfers and external outsourcing activities where required.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure finished goods requirements are achieved.
- Adjust schedules to respond to changing priorities, operational challenges and customer requirements.
- Ensure incoming materials and shipments align with purchase order requirements.
- Produce reports and planning information to support operational decision making.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Customer Service and other departments to ensure effective communication and delivery of business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced planning performance.
What do we want from you?
- Previous experience within production planning, scheduling, supply chain, inventory control or a similar manufacturing role.
- Ideally educated to Associate Degree level or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across departments.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Proactive, self-motivated approach with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed planning decisions.
- A team-focused attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
