The role

We’re looking for two experienced Print Shift Managers to strengthen our leadership team. This is a key role responsible for driving performance across our print department, with wider site leadership accountability on night shifts. You’ll lead from the front, ensuring operational excellence while developing teams and maintaining high standards across safety, quality and output.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take ownership of shift performance across flexographic presses
  • Lead and develop print teams to achieve output, quality and efficiency targets
  • Drive a right-first-time culture, focusing on waste reduction and continuous improvement
  • Monitor and improve KPIs including OEE, waste, downtime and labour efficiency
  • Ensure print quality, colour consistency and customer specifications are met
  • Manage shift handovers, staffing and press resource planning
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Planning to maximise uptime and delivery

On night shifts, you will also:

  • Act as the site leadership point of contact across departments such as Print, Warehouse and Conversion
  • Provide direction, escalation support and decision‑making to maintain site performance
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental and quality standards
  • Lead performance management, coaching and development of team members
  • Deliver shift briefs, toolbox talks, and engagement activities

4‑week rotating shift pattern covering days and nights. Alternating working pattern of 5 days on followed by 2 days off (with some variation across the cycle)

What do we want from you?

  • Experience in a print, packaging or FMCG manufacturing leadership role
  • Expertise and strong understanding of flexographic printing processes
  • Proven ability to drive performance, KPIs and continuous improvement
  • Confident leader with the ability to take ownership and make decisions under pressure
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Good knowledge of health & safety, quality systems and production best practice
